The Philadelphia 76ers' G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, has hired Brad Jones as its new general manager. Jones replaces Ariana Andonian, who departed to lead the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks.
The Delaware Blue Coats, the G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, have officially hired Brad Jones to serve as their new general manager. The hiring was first reported by The Stein Line on Sunday and subsequently confirmed by ESPN on Tuesday morning, marking a significant leadership change for the team ahead of the upcoming season.
Jones brings extensive front-office experience to the role, having previously held positions with the Orlando Magic and the NBA G League office. His appointment signals the organization's intent to strengthen its developmental infrastructure and player personnel management within the G League system.
Jones will replace Ariana Andonian, who served as the Blue Coats' general manager for the 2025-26 season. Andonian, who previously held the title of Vice President of Player Personnel with the Sixers, departed the organization during the offseason to assume the role of general manager for the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks. Her move to the WNBA opened the position for Jones, allowing the Sixers to bring in new leadership for their affiliate team.
This personnel shift reflects the ongoing evolution of front-office roles within the NBA ecosystem, where executives frequently transition between NBA teams, G League affiliates, and other professional leagues. The Blue Coats will now look to Jones to oversee player development and operational strategy as they prepare for their next competitive cycle.
