French AI planning platform Pigment has secured $250 million in Series E funding at a $2.3 billion valuation. Led by EQT's Scaleup Europe Fund with participation from NVIDIA, the capital will accelerate autonomous planning capabilities and support expansion into Asian markets.
Pigment, a Paris-based AI business planning and performance management platform, has announced a $250 million Series E funding round at a $2.3 billion valuation. The round was led by the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, with participation from World Innovation Lab (WIL), existing investors including Greenoaks, ICONIQ, IVP, and Meritech Capital, and a planned investment from NVIDIA. According to reports, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang flagged the investment during a recent visit to France.
The new capital will accelerate Pigment's mission to transition toward autonomous planning for global enterprises. Pigment has surpassed $100 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), doubling year-over-year, with the company expecting to double that figure again next year. Adoption of its AI features is also accelerating, with 85% of new metrics in the platform now created by AI agents.
Co-founders Eléonore Crespo and Romain Niccoli stated that enterprise planning is undergoing a significant shift, with legacy tools being replaced by AI-driven systems. "With AI agents running planning workflows end to end and turning decisions into action, companies can respond to change as fast as it happens," Crespo said. The company is positioning itself as a direct challenger to Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, as well as legacy enterprise resource planning (ERP) providers like SAP, Oracle, and IBM.
Pigment's proprietary, patent-pending compute engine, Graphite, allows thousands of AI agents and human users to work on the same governed model simultaneously. This infrastructure scales to hundreds of billions of data points with deterministic, fully traceable results, ensuring that autonomous planning workflows remain accurate and auditable. The funding will be used to expand the engineering team and advance the Graphite engine to handle more complex workloads.
The platform has gained traction among major global enterprises, including Danone, Siemens, Snowflake, ServiceNow, and Unilever. Notably, L'Oréal is deploying Pigment to replace its salary planning tool for more than 95,000 employees globally. Additionally, AI-focused organizations such as Anthropic, ElevenLabs, and Uber use Pigment as the reasoning runtime for their enterprise data.
Looking ahead, Pigment plans to expand its presence in Asia, with Crespo indicating the company aims to bring in Asian investors to support this regional growth. Shannee Braun, managing director at EQT, noted that consolidating disparate planning data into a single hub is becoming increasingly important for large enterprises currently relying on fragmented spreadsheets.
