๐ Good morning! Monday saw Friday's euphoria get corrected by Iran news once again. But perhaps not as much as one might have expected.
The escalating tension in the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran says is closed and in which the US seized an Iranian ship, sent oil futures up around 5% back into the mid $90s.
But stocks only flinched a little. The S&P 500 (^GSPC) fell just 0.2% and the Nasdaq (^IXIC) 0.3% as the Dow (^DJI) stayed flat.
With President Trump saying the two-week ceasefire, expiring Wednesday evening in D.C., is unlikely to be extended, markets still have something to watch.
